Review: Dead Weight by Hildur Knútsdóttir

★★★★☆ Review: First, I would like to thank Macmillan Audio for providing me with a free advanced listener copy of this audiobook. This is my honest review. Feminine rage and retribution Having read and enjoyed The Night Guest , I was eager to get a copy of Hildur Knútsdóttir's latest English translation! Unnur lives alone until the Cat Distribution System deposits a black cat in her home. Despite finding the cat's owner, the cat keeps returning, and now Unnur must begrudgingly accept that Ásta and her cat will be a regular installment in her home. If you are looking for feminine rage and retribution and a book you can read in a single sitti...

Book Blitz: Why Good Things Happen to Bad People by Vu M. Do

Spiritual

Date Published: July 14,2025

Why does the selfish succeed while the kind suffer? This question has haunted humanity for centuries—but what if it’s the wrong question entirely?

In this deeply thought-provoking book, author Vu Do invites readers to explore the hidden patterns behind life’s seeming injustices. Drawing from philosophy, spirituality, and the laws of nature, he reveals a universe built not on fairness, but on balance—where light needs darkness, and struggle conceals blessings.

Discover:

* Why good and bad are not opposites—but partners

* How the concept of duality shapes every experience

* The meaning behind suffering, delay, and paradox

* How to find peace in what once felt unfair

This is not a book of answers. It’s a book of deeper seeing. A quiet revolution for the soul who dares to question the surface—and trust what lies beneath.
